Okay, I don't hate Maya all THAT bad... I don't know why I said that. It's actually an okay program, it's just hard.
Yesterday I got some amazing news about school. I am truly so happy right now, but I know it means that I need to keep on my toes and keep busting my ass. And I'm okay with that. In fact, that's been the plan the whole time... This just reiterates that to me.
Today was rough though. Because I never went to bed Tuesday night, I was a ZOMBIE on Wednesday. Thankfully, things went well- I got my paper turned in to History of Character Animation, I posted up the Registrar's flyers all over school (that I designed), I got to meet Robert Lence and pitched my film story to him (AND HE LIKED IT!), I got to chit-chat with Dan Hansen for a bit, and I got some GREAT advice from Rik Maki about getting better in my art. Seriously, it's the kind of day I wish I could have every day! It's the kind of day that reminds me why I am here... And I did it all on no sleep! XD
I just wish I hadn't overslept and missed my life drawing class because we were going to go to the LA ZOO! *cries* But I have lots of friends offering to take me some other time, so I will be taking advantage of that when I can.
Instead, I used the time to do some much-needed laundry and talk to my folks on the phone. I've been so busy I haven't talked to them like that since school started. I LOVE being this busy, but I miss them so much...
I know I still have SO MUCH to blog about, but I just can't seem to find the time to sit and update as much as I would like. Hopefully, I can get some art pieces posted here soon! I'd love to show something I've done... as soon as I can get happy with some of it! HAHAHA!
